Today I washed these two pillows. I wanted to show an example of how SOME pillows/items can be washed.
First, unzip and remove pillow form insert. DO NOT pull on bottom half section of zipper. Then rezip. This fabric is ivory chenille with gold emblem pattern. The fringe is 3inch cut brush fringe.
I washed them in my front loader on normal with Gain and Tide stain formula in the detergent compartment. Clorox color safe bleach in the bleach compartment. Gain softener in the softener compartment.
After washing I put them in the dryer with a dryer softener sheet on low heat until dry.
They came out beautiful. I made them 7 or 8 years ago and I use them everyday.
Next restuff by folding the pillow insert in half vertically. Then insert in center and push the corners into place. Rezip. NEVER pull on bottom section of zipper. This could rip this zipper.
Know that you are washing at your own risk. I have washed many pillows mostly tapestry, velvet and chenille types.
